DAVID GOODE (aka The Brains!)
David is a super talented engineer, craftsman, stonemason, butcher, baker and candlestick maker...he is wasted delivering woodchip!
He runs the office (on wet days) but is much happier outside building something. He can be seen here making the finishing touches to our recently renovated Granary building!
Favourite job: hosing concrete
DAN MAGEE
Dan runs the log side of the business. Having taken over from Billy in 2022, Dan is the man who takes your calls, organises your delivery and more often than not also delivers your logs!
Always with a smile on his face - Dan is sure to brighten your day. Very partial to a brew - so get the kettle on if he is delivering!
JOHNNY GOODE
Happiest on a machine - Johnny runs the yard operations and keeps our sheds topped up with perfect moisture woodchip and logs. If it can be done faster - he’s the man to show you how!
Recently back from living and working in New Zealand for Balle Brothers (one of the biggest veg growers in NZ)…he has arrived back with a Māori twang and with a strong penchant for Canterbury shorts (much to his mother’s dissaproval...)
JANE GOODE
The matriarch. Jane keeps us all incredibly well fed, keeps all the campsite grass well cut and isn’t shy to providing an opinion or two about how we’re doing as a business…cross her at your own peril!
Favourite job: three way tie between cutting grass, walking Nico and correcting ‘you’re’ grammar!
BILLY GOODE (aka our Dear Leader)
When people say "it takes a village" well Billy is the one who runs our village. We did not let him write his own bio because, well, if you know Billy then that would not have been fit for publication!
Jane accurately sums up her first born as "big head, big mouth, big heart". You certainly know Billy is around as you will hear him before you can see him. If there is a job to be done or someone needs a helping out, he will be the first one to put his hand up.
Favourite job - possibly a pint after a hard days graft!
ANDREEA DASCALESCU
The OG pocket rocket!
On her days off from Boots, little Dreea can often be found at the farm processing logs (she even gives Johnny a run for his money on speed and precision), bagging up, loading trailers or whatever she needs to do to get the job done.
Just don’t try to catch her in a go kart!
OLLY THOMPSON
Olly is currently working on a neighbouring farm, but learned his trade here, following in the footsteps of his older brother Isaac (equally tall and good looking).
We had him delivering logs the day he passed his driving test, aged about 17 years and three weeks!
NICO GOODE
With a record holding 78 times winner of Goodechip’s employee of the month award, it can not be disputed that Nico is a very good boy.
Favourite job: scaring partridges out of the chip shed on a night before we close the doors!
